Paul Stroehlin was a Swiss private citizen and coin dealer who served as president of the Swiss Numismatic Society from 1889 until his death. He also founded and led the 'Schweizerische Numismatische Rundschau', significantly contributing to its development. At the 1896 National Exhibition, he showcased over 9,000 coins. He gifted or loaned around 6,000 coins to the Geneva Coin Cabinet. Stroehlin was a Freemason and in 1897 founded the 'Musée de la Loge Union et Travail' in Geneva. Additionally, he published the monthly journal 'Journal des Collectionneurs'.
